This morning, February 5 at approximately 10:00 am, members of the Cheyenne Police/Laramie County joint SWAT team served a search warrant at a residence in the 2400 block of East 11th Street.

This operation was pre-planned and extra precautions were taken to ensure the safety of everyone in the area. The warrant was obtained as part of a months-long narcotics investigation led by CPD’s Community Action Team. In November 2025, it was determined that fentanyl pills and methamphetamine were being distributed from the home.

Based on the findings of the investigation, detectives applied for and obtained a search warrant and had probable cause for the arrest of two suspects, Terell Royal, 39 years old, and Travis Fauque, 33 years old, both from Cheyenne.

Upon arrival at the residence, the team made multiple announcements, commanding the occupants to exit. Nine individuals, including Royal, complied and exited the home. Fauque refused and hid inside the attic. In an attempt to safely remove Fauque from the home, officers deployed a variety of non-lethal tools, including CS gas. The situation was brought to an end at 12:06 p.m., when Fauque came down from the attic and surrendered.

During the search of the house, officers discovered a felony amount of fentanyl pills and methamphetamine.

  • Fauque was arrested for interference, felony possession of meth, felony possession of fentanyl, and felony theft. He was transported for medical clearance prior to booking into the Laramie County Detention Center.
  • Royal was arrested for the sale and delivery of meth, possession of meth, and possession of fentanyl.

We would like to thank partnering agencies for their assistance during the operation: Cheyenne Fire Rescue, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response, the Division of Criminal Investigation, and Cheyenne Animal Control.

This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.
