2025 Annual Report
The Cheyenne Police Department’s 2025 Annual Report is a summary of the work performed by our officers, professional staff, and volunteers over the past year.
At the beginning of 2025, we set clear goals focused on reducing property crime and improving traffic safety. Through crime data analysis, targeted enforcement, and prevention strategies, we continued making measurable progress in both areas. Overall, property crime decreased by 12% and traffic crashes declined by 43% compared to the previous year.
These results reflect more than enforcement efforts alone. They represent strong partnerships between our agency and the community we serve. Our residents, businesses, and local organizations play an important role in public safety by working with us to address concerns, report suspicious activity, and support crime prevention initiatives.
In 2026, we are building on this momentum and set new goals with a focus on:
- Reducing youth violence by strengthening partnerships with schools, courts, prosecutors, youth services, and community stakeholders.
- Further improving traffic safety with an emphasis on impaired driving.
- Reducing property crime through the use of data-driven policing strategies.
- Developing future leaders within the department by expanding leadership training and development opportunities.
It is our hope that this report provides insight into the work accomplished in 2025 and reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping Cheyenne a safe place to live, work, and grow.
