Three Suspects Arrested Following Aggravated Robbery

Three individuals were arrested Wednesday after Cheyenne Police officers quickly located the suspect vehicle connected to an armed robbery.

Prometheus Hurtado, Keegan Potter, and Liam Adkins, all 18 and from Cheyenne, were arrested on charges related to the incident. Officers also submitted a probable cause affidavit for a 17-year-old passenger for accessory after the fact.

On Wednesday, July 22 at approximately 3:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Ace Hardware parking lot, located at 3505 East Lincolnway.

According to statements, a male victim was sitting in his vehicle when Hurtado and Potter approached the driver's side window and confronted him about an incident involving one of his friends. During the encounter, he observed that both teens were armed with guns.

Fearing for his safety, the victim retrieved a firearm from inside his vehicle. One of the teens then reached through the driver's side window and took the victim's firearm, while pointing a gun at him. Hurtado and Potter returned to a red Ford Explorer, driven by Adkins, and fled the area. The 17-year-old passenger remained in the vehicle during the incident.

Officers obtained a description of the suspect vehicle and located it a short time later near Converse Avenue and Airport Parkway. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the four occupants were detained without incident.

Officers recovered all firearms and no injuries were reported.

The case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department Detective Bureau.
