Cheyenne Police Investigating Fatal Shooting
Published on September 22, 2025
On Saturday, September 20 at approximately 9:06 p.m., Cheyenne Police Officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired at the parking lot of King Soopers, located at 3702 Dell Range Boulevard.
At the scene, officers found a 19-year-old male with apparent gunshot wounds. First aid was administered until medical personnel arrived. The male was later declared deceased.
Officers contacted another adult male who claimed to be the shooter, he was detained.
Preliminary information indicates that a dispute occurred between the 19-year-old and the male shooter earlier in the evening. According to statements, the 19-year-old and his three friends were traveling in a Chevrolet Cavalier when they became involved in a possible road rage incident with the other male, who was driving a Ford Raptor.
The vehicles followed each other along Dell Range Boulevard, and eventually pulled into the King Soopers parking lot, where the dispute escalated and resulted in the decedent being fatally shot.
This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department’s Detective Bureau. Results will be forwarded to the District Attorney for potential charging decisions.
