An Indiana man has been arrested following a series of drop-box thefts at local apartment complexes earlier this year. Nicholas Holder, 27 years old, was booked into the Laramie County Jail on three counts of felony theft.

Between February 28 and March 10, 2025, Cheyenne Police Officers received multiple reports of stolen deposits from drop-boxes at properties on Taft Avenue and Mountain Road. Video camera footage captured two men committing the thefts.

On March 14, the video was shared on the department’s social media page through the Laramie County Silent Witness program. Later that day, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper contacted Cheyenne Police Detectives after recognizing the two men from a prior encounter on the interstate. Body-worn camera footage from the trooper was provided to the Division of Criminal Investigation, where both suspects were identified through a criminal database.

On May 22, warrants were issued for Holder and his accomplice, 26-year-old Quantel White, from Indiana. On November 11, Holder was located and arrested, then booked into the Laramie County Jail. White’s warrant remains active.

The Cheyenne Police Department thanks the Wyoming Highway Patrol, the Division of Criminal Investigation, and the community for their assistance in this investigation.
